Lemmon & Hale, PLLC represented four employees in connection with discrimination charges against Triad National Security, LLC, the management company operating Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico.

On September 29, 2026, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced that Triad agreed to pay $2.8 million and provide other relief to resolve allegations of religious discrimination, disability discrimination, and retaliation related to its COVID-19 vaccination and testing policies.

Lemmon & Hale attorney Dana Hale worked closely with the firm’s four clients throughout the matter, advocating for their interests over four years and working with the EEOC during negotiations.

According to the EEOC, the charges alleged that Triad denied religious and disability-related accommodations under its vaccine mandate and testing policy and retaliated against employees. The agency’s announcement states that the agreement includes compensation for affected individuals as well as a two-year commitment requiring training for human resources personnel on religious- and disability-related accommodation.

Lemmon & Hale is proud to have contributed to this significant EEOC settlement and, most importantly, to have helped secure a favorable outcome for the individuals we represented.

The settlement has drawn attention beyond Los Alamos through legal news coverage and press-release distribution channels. The EEOC’s announcement provides additional information about the settlement and the allegations underlying the charges.
